YOUR PRIVACY
Privacy statement
Last updated: 2 November 2026
AIpportunity B.V. (“AIpportunity”, “we”) respects your privacy. This statement explains which personal data we process, why we do so and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
AIpportunity B.V., established in the Netherlands, is the controller for the processing described in this statement. You can reach us at contact@aipportunity.nl.
What data we process
- Contact details and correspondence: your name, email address, organisation, job title and the content of your message when you contact us.
- Business relationship data: details of the people we work with at clients, partners and suppliers, such as name, role and contact details.
- Technical data: data needed to deliver this website securely, such as IP address, browser type and time of visit, processed in our hosting provider’s server logs.
- Your cookie preference, which is stored only in your own browser.
Why we process it
- To answer your questions and follow up on requests (legitimate interest, or steps prior to entering into a contract).
- To perform agreements with clients, partners and suppliers (performance of a contract).
- To secure and operate this website (legitimate interest).
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting record keeping (legal obligation).
How long we keep it
We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes above. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and maintain the business relationship. Financial records are kept for seven years, as required by Dutch law.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We only share data with service providers that help us operate, such as hosting, email and IT providers, under a data processing agreement, or when we are required to do so by law.
International transfers
We store and process data within the European Economic Area wherever possible. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access. Our information security practices follow the ISO/IEC 27001 framework.
When we process data for our clients
When we build or manage solutions for clients that involve personal data, the client is the controller and we act as processor. In that case we only process data on documented instructions and under a data processing agreement. For AI solutions, we also take the requirements of the EU AI Act into account.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Send your request to contact@aipportunity.nl; we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
